and the Stelvio National Park

South Tyrol

Sulden is located in Venosta Valley, in the west of South Tyrol. The Stelvio National Park includes the entire Ortler-Cevedale mountain massif with its side valleys and reaches as far south as Lombardy. The huge nature reserve covers an area of 134,620 ha.

The combination of untouched nature and traditionally managed alpine pastures and forests is what makes this region so special. The National Park is also fascinating in its altitudes: Clear glacier lakes and bubbling mountain lakes quickly make the observer forget the hectic pace of daily life.

A paradise for nature lovers: The Stelvio National Park is home to animal species that are otherwise rarely seen, such as marmots, ibexes, golden eagles or deer herds.
This makes the Stilfserjoch a paradise for all animal lovers. Besides the alpine fauna, there are of course a lot of botanical rarities to discover here.
